Last week, I met the amazing Taz! Also the charming Mr Taz, and the dog Sky. They're all incredibly hospitable! I thought we were just going to have a quick coffee somewhere, but they took me out for lunch, wouldn't let me pay, and then took me for a great walk showing me the coolest sights of Athens.

THAAAAAAAAANKS!

They're all great: funny, cute, lovely people.

Here's my holiday diary with pictures. And here's about 157 of my holiday snaps, but you'd be mad to click on that.
And here'#s Sky the Dog surveying her domain:

Not to minimize the human element, but - wow! Sky certainly has grown into an elegant girl. What a lucky pup.

What a great description of a cool vavation! Thanks for sharing that, TheophileEscargot.

Heh, vacation, oops.

So jealous! Your pics look amazing- and getting to meet the Taz family, too? What a bonus!

Glad you had a good trip and are safely back home.

Great pictures. I did that one-day 3-island cruise about 25 years ago, but we did it the other way round - Aegina, Poros then Hydra. I loved Hydra.

I see Taz is remaining enigmatic, preserving her mystique.

Wait what? You got to hang out with Taz & mr? Walk with the pretty Sky? Eat good foods and check out Athens with them? I'm not in the least bit jealous. Nope. My face is always this green.

Lovely shot of Sky by the way, sounds like you had a great time. :)

I was disappointed to not see Ms and Mr Taz in your photos.

There, I said it. We are all thinking it.

*smile*

Great shots though. I am glad you had a nice time.

Heh... I hate being photographed, so I try not to photograph people.

Maybe I just need better reflexes so I can suck in my belly and stick my chin out in time...

danf said it for me. But that said - great summary (on your site) and photos. As a kid I wanted to go to Greece, but kind of lost the yearn later on. Now I wanna go. NOW!

*is mad, clicks that, basks in Grecian splendour*

I enjoyed your write-up as well. Really makes me wish I'd done more diarising and photographising of holidays, I have a terrible memory.

Also, I am pleased to hear that taz is making mystique jam, it is one of my favourites, highly recommended.

oh, Zeus! Thank goodness no pix of me! V. almost always comes out looking good, but I look nothing like my interior 30-year-old! So Sky is my avatar here on photoearth. :)

Monsieur Escargot is a total sweetheart; we had fun, and he was very gracious re all our smoking, drinking, swearing, outdoor urination, and doing the Zorba dance. okay, we didn't really do the Zorba dance. But we were thiiiiis close.

Hey, I love smoking, drinking, swearing and outdoor urination!

You asked about the One Day Cruise... I think it's a handy way for a tourist to get around quickly, but the service, food, entertainment and information were all pretty dire. I reckon you're better off taking trips by ferry if you actually live there.
