Kindergarten 1976 a flickr set, starring me, Dad's_Planet, Mom's_Planet, and Sister's_Planet. With a stripey suit in a supporting role.
It's interesting how easily recognizable you are in those pictures. What made you post them now? Did you just run across them? Were you looking for them? Do you have a lot of others?

Thank you! The child is father to the man, and all that. No, I did not just encounter them out of the blue, nor was I searching for them. They've been in my family photo album which has been sitting on my kitchen table for the last few years. I knew where to find them. I have a few others from that time period, like maybe a half-dozen, but these are my favorites.
The story behind the posting of these pictures: a few months back, Jan was visiting me. I showed her that photo album and she loved loved loved these kindergarten shots. She thought they were the cutest damned things she had ever seen. "Stripey Suit! Striiiiipey Suit!" So, hey, why not post them online? Jan's got good taste; if she likes them, no doubt others will like them too.
I've been meaning to post them for the longest damn time but never got around to it. Kind of one of those back-burner projects, y'know? Lately, though, I've been trying to impose more structure on my life. Be more productive. Get things done. Take advantage of the ample portions of free time the capitalist system has given me. Every day for the last week, I've been setting up a to-do list and that happened to be on the list; that was today's Big Project.
It was, in fact, over two years ago that I first saw those photos and have been asking (i.e. nagging) j_p ever since to put them online. So yes, you can blame me I claim the credit.
