If eating beef jerky for breakfast is wrong . . . [More:]I don't ever wanna be right.
That sounds good, but I have to cut way down on my sodium. No beef jerky for me!

Isn't it a lot like eating bacon? Extra-dry, super-salty, chewy, chewy, chewy beef-bacon?

The phrase "beef=bacon" will haunt me.

It's a lot like eating country ham, I'd say.

Yeah, more like ham. Bacon should be crispy.

Beef jerky has like, no fat. So not like bacon. Much more like country ham!

Agreed! I meant nutritionally like bacon, though Stew points out the biggest difference: less fat, more salt.

Mmm. Less fat, more salt. That shouldn't be making me hungry, should it?

Guy eats some bizarre vegetarian jerky for breakfast. With mango pickle. I can't face such an aggressive flavor assault before noon.

If there were a way of eating it with toast, I could see doing this. (I never thought eating baked beans for brekky was even remotely sane until I put them on buttered toast.) Maybe chopped or torn into bits, with lots of butter?
