Oh, yeah. I have two hard little green pears sitting on my table waiting for me to do something with them. A local shop owner (who must have a pear tree) has a bucket full of pears sitting outside the shop along the busy sidewalk, with a "FREE" sign above it. It's a tiny perk of the season in this town.
Mmmm, baked fruit in pastry. And Wolfdog, those crumbly pear dumplings look enticing, too.
