can we also have a longer front page? just a few more would be nice? Things fall off so quickly and there is no way to get them again without WORK.

I agree with the longer front page idea, especially since there aren't favorites and it's hard to check back on threads from a few days ago that might have been updated.

I like the longer front page idea. Or maybe just an "Older posts" link like on mefi and other blogs. Following the archives link is kind of a pain.
