My father's last gift to me. When I was born, my dad's best friend gave him a gift, to celebrate the birth of his first son. Tonight, my mother passed that gift on to me, in celebration of the birth of my first son.
Fab!!!!

When you tweeted that, I thought the penis cover thing was a joke and they were for something else.

I LOVE YOUR FAMILY SO MUCH NOW.

I was all ready to get teared up and sentimental when I saw the header to this thread but instead I'm laughing.

That's wonderful. And just in time for cooler weather, too. Perfect.

You are spawn from some very funny folks with funny friends. It is your duty to pass it on! ;)

Yes, I was taken in by your ruse, and clicked the link, thinking it would be heart warming. Your Mom is teh BEST!!! and you are a worthy recipient and caretaker of the Charlet Legacy.

You never really own the penis cozies, you merely keep them safe for the next generation.

I so want to be in your family!

Um. Theora55, that's not where the heart is, and if a fellow tells you it is, he is taking advantage of your naivete.

There is nothing about this story that I do not love, ColdChef. Especially the photo: those cozies look so very daintily crafted. Perfect.

This is just beautiful.

My dad died in August, 2002. We had a tradition of giving each other tacky Christmas gifts, and he'd already bought mine for the coming year, so my mom saved it, wrapped it, and gave it to me, 4 months after he died.

It was a talking, animated, motion-activated, Christmas-themed Scooby-Doo candy dish. Sure, I pull it out every yule-tide season, but the best part of the story is that it usually sits in our seldom-used guest bathroom, to be triggered whenever anyone goes in there.

No, wait, that's not the best part. The really best part is that the only time I generally use that bathroom is when the MrsMoonPie and I are getting ready for bed, and she's taking up our bathroom, and I go in the guest bathroom, and as I'm leaving and heading into the bedroom, you know, where my wife is, ready for bed, you know, Scooby goes "Oh boy! Oh boy!"

And I think of how happy my father would be to know that.

God bless you and your father and your son and your mom and your crocheted penis covers.

Congratulations! And apparently, this item is not that uncommon.

By the way, what is your son's name?

Which do you find more socially acceptable: || Bebby bunny! Riding on a cat! OMG!
