I am back from DC. First thing I did was head straight to MrMoonPie's place of work for the tour. Which was even more awesome than I'd anticipated.→[More:]

MrMoonPie was a terrific host: fun and full of stories.

I then got to watch and cheer while my cousin Matt married his best friend.

Incidentally, I saw the SR-71 Blackbird spy plane, which could get from California to DC in one hour and four (4) minutes. Regrettably, my trip home took much longer than that. It was also a very bumpy thumpy jittery flight. Turns out it's been raining since Monday, and the salt flats outside my window at work (which were parched and cracked when I left) are all wet and glassy again.

Any of the rest of you seen anything new lately? Aside from the spectacular little human in New Orleans?
