I buy this at the chi-chi grocery store. I had no idea it was so simple. Now, if only I could grow figs!

So pretty. Never made anything with fresh figs before, but this is very tempting.

Alas, fresh figs are not long for the world once they cross into my house.

That sounds like one of the best things every invented. Too bad my fig tree won't produce until next August. :(

I doubt I'll be able to get fresh figs here. But I have saved that one, just in case. Because it looks goooooooooood.

Will this keep long term if canned?

I think you would need to check on the sugar levels and so on for canning. You could probably used canned figs though and adjust for sugar and liquid.

I think I will try this next year -- figs are out of the stores where I am. :(
Thanks for the link!

I'm on a diet where I have to avoid added sugar, but I think I'll score me some fresh figs in honor of this.

Oh god. That sounds good. With a crusty baguette and some goopy washed-rind cheese. Or heated up with a tablespoon of cognac and used as a sauce for roast pork or duck!

Most likely: eaten from the jar with fingers.

Yum - my mother-in-law has a fig tree in the garden. it's a little too late in the year, but next year...hmmm, I'm looking forward to it!
