OMG! Woke up to snow this morning! Have any other Me-Chat-izens had snow yet?

[More:]Only about a quarter of an inch. Melted right away on the sidewalks and streets. The stuff on the grass and cars will probably be mostly melted away by the end of the day.

Probably most everyone else in Mpls knew we were supposed to get snow last night, but it was a surprise to me.

Since the DTV switch in June rendered my Gen 1 Tivo useless, I don't watch TV anymore. I get all my news from podcasts, which pretty much rules out local news and weather. I've got to find a way to fix that.
Starting to get overcast this morning. We're expecting rain for the next few days.

doesn't snow where I live.

Woke up to snow on the ground this past Thursday, and we've had flurries off and on since then. Not much accumulation, plenty of bare patches and the streets and walks are mostly clear. Still, the nice long warm fall we'd hoped for (it was 30 °C [86 °F] as recently as two weeks ago) is pretty much kaput, especially with the overnight lows staying be below freezing for the next few days.

Like you, I'm also not a TV watcher, so I keep tabs on our weather from Environment Canada - maybe you want to bookmark the NWS page for MSP, particularly if your conditions are as changeable as ours.

P.S. Go Twins!

Our last snowfall was in 2005, I think. And it lasted TWO DAYS. It was harsh.

We don't get snow until November at the earliest, usually December. Still in the high 50s here in the 'burgh. It's been raining almost every day but we're used to that.

The forecast says snow on Tuesday. If it does, it'll be the earliest it's snowed since I moved here. Last year it started in early November, which was the earliest I had seen it, and stayed snowy most of the winter. The first snow is usually in December and I've seen first snow as late as January.

No snow here, but there was frost! It's been a chilly fall here, too. (Chicago) Sigh. I got into birdwatching in the spring and I was looking forward to the fall migration but I think the birds flew around the bad weather.

I woke up to warmer temps and all of the snow melted off the mountains. It's the creepiest thing, but is convincing me to hold off a little longer on putting my winter tires on (probably a bad idea).

No snow yet. (Although I remember there being snow on Halloween evening once in Williamsport but it was barely flurries.)

Crap, I guess I better bring my plants in soon.

Tonight it's getting down to 41º, which is the coldest it's been yet this season.

No snow in WNY yet; the past couple years the first snowfall (or at least first that stuck) was in early November. The year before THAT it was like 16" on October 12/13, and some absurd number of the trees in the area just about exploded from the weight; it made my job interview... interesting.

As soon as the trees finish shedding, bring it on. Watching the little vallhunds bouncing through knee-deep snow in the backyard is teh awesome.

We went to the Kansas City Renaissance Festival today, and drove through snow flurries on the way home! It didn't last, and nothing "stuck" but yikes this is way too early for a first snow!

No snow here in Poland yet, but daaaaang it's been bone-chillingly chilly at night. The fog-rain is pretty at night though.
