I just saw them Saturday night, and they were FANTASTIC. It was the 4th time I've seen them, and was easily the best show I'd seen by them.

Oh well, I just bought my Devo tickets and am still high from that. (Devo being one of the two of the my top 5 favoritest ever bands I've never seen.)

I saw them tonight and they played nothing past 1993...

That would be Independent Worm Saloon, right? Yep, there were a couple good songs on that album, but that should definitely be the cutoff.

Yeah, it was great because I never got a chance to see them when I was young and I really had wanted to see them, and by the time I was able to see more shows at will, BHS weren't playing anything that interested me.

I got tix to see them this time because I wanted to finally be able to say, "I saw the Butthole Surfers!" and when my friend told me it was the original lineup, I almost leapt for joy. When they finally hit the stage, I knew that I could finally cross off one of those things on the list of "things I'd have liked to do in my lifetime."

It was great seeing the two-drummer lineup, to hear and see the bass and guitar lines being played (Paul Leary is so CUTE), to witness Gibby and his Gibbytronix, to watch all the crazy video projections... Again, I suggest that if you have never seen them live, this would be the time to do it.

Now I'm gonna bowl me a poifect game.
