Dogs with squashed faces.
Mushy apples.
Mice in my silverware drawer.
Low-fat yogurt.
Low-fat anything.

The phrase "It is what it is." Because it literally says nothing. And if you have nothing to say, you shouldn't say anything.

That expression seems to be in broader (and, yes, too-common) use these days, but it isn't without meaning. Mathematicians have used it for a long, long time to describe something that can't be broken down or simplified further. "Now look at the resulting expression. The first term is a product of the form described in Wiggler's Lemma, so we'll apply that there; the second term is what it is, and we can't do anything more with it at the moment." Long-standing usage. It's shorter than saying "It is an irreducible thing that we are stuck with, but I want to acknowledge it's presence", which as you can see is a bit awkward. Really long-standing usage.

People who are cranky with people that have nothing to do with the source of their crankiness.
The mailboxes at my condo.
My credit card company.
This shitfuckery of a funk that I've been in since Thursday.

People who cannot control themselves and injure others.

People who don't take responsibility for themselves and blame others.

People are not comfortable with being wrong and adjusting their perspectives.

People who cannot see others in the same great light as they see themselves, and actively try to prevent them their successes or dignity.

Artichokes.
