More license plate game: Three letters! Name the word! That sort of thing.[More:]The challenge is to come up with a standard English word that contains the given letters in order (not necessarily consecutively). For instance, 'spiderweb' would be a good solution for 'pwb'. These can all be done without resorting to proper names; there are common, familiar solutions for all of them, but I think some of them are pretty hard!

Ooh, I like kickboxing! It's not the one I was thinking of, but it actually seems like it should have been the more obvious answer, in hindsight. Hm.

Was your original #5 word "lockbox"?

I was thinking jukebox. It seems some sort of 'box' compound is unavoidable.

12. ttq = etiquette (which I'll freely admit I had to look up to get the proper spelling)

oh, and damn it. Nevermind. bft = brainfart.

I'm surprised you picked the British option for #10, Eideteker.

Paycheque works for #8, though there is a solution for that one with a spelling that everyone will agree on.

etiquette, unfortunately, I won't buy, since I require t-t-q in that order (as you appear to have realized). That's going to be a hard one, I think, though it's a thoroughly familiar and common word.

I got 'wuo', but only by cheating. (I did a few searches on m-w.com.) Wanna know it?
