She did it! Miss Virginia Tara Wheeler shaved her head in support of cancer research.→[More:] I think she looks AMAZING, much better than she did with hair.
I've noticed that chicks with shaved heads are growing on me.
You should have a doctor look at that.
Also: good for Tara Wheeler, but it's not really shaved unless it's right down to the skin. Bonus points if people touch your scalp without your permission.
If I didn't work in the kind of office I did, I would totally do this. Also would do this if it weren't heading into winter.
I will note that I'm already growing out my hair for Locks of Love. A very surreptitious measure that included me yanking out one hair by the root and using an 8 1/2 x 11-inch sheet of paper says my hair is currently 20 inches long from follicle to tip.
I've been considering shaving my head just to beat nature to its inevitable destination. And yeah, I prefer people with shaved heads too, but you've got to have the skull to pull it off.
I have respect for this person. In fact, my attitude towards pageant participants in general just changed a little bit.
Miss Former California and her "I'm totally Xtian, but look at my nude, pix, oh noes, it's art, don't take my pretty shiny crown, and gays are goin' ta hell, yo" doesn't rock my vote, and sad Miss South Carolina, "I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, um, some people out there in our nation don't have maps and, uh, I believe that our, uh, education like such as, uh, South Africa and, uh, the Iraq and everywhere like such as, and I believe that they should, uh, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., uh, should help South Africa and should help Iraq and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future." is not the example I think young women need.
