When we showed up in New Orleans by bike a few months before Katrina, there was a touristy beignets place with too many pigeons. We had coffee and beignets, and the beignets were so good, I think we got seconds. Does anyone know if that place is still around?

If you're talking about Cafe du Monde - I was there in July and omg iced coffee and three (it must be three, any more or less would throw off the balance, and the coffee must be unsweetened as well) beignets is a glorious combination.
