I left town for a couple days and now the bottom two leaves (and only the bottom two leaves) on my phalaenopsis are all yellow. Does this mean it's dying, or that it's about to flower, or that I let it get too dry, or what?

It's normal if they're old leaves. Does it look like any new leaves are coming in?

They're definitely old leaves. It doesn't really look like any new ones are coming in--though it put off a couple new roots pretty recently.

Thanks, pup.
