...so, after following the links he left in his comment in this thread, I'm wondering if maybe Dimitri is some kind of performance art shtick. Perhaps all this is just a way to try to get noticed enough to get the fabled movie contract.
Either that, or perhaps he IS Sacha Baron Cohen, and we're all his stool pigeons.
If he's betting on the tendency for people to keep on witlessly pointing and laughing at whatever he's doing however long he persists, I think he wins.
It's extremely passive-aggressive --- you should actually look that up: "passive-aggressive psychological disorder."
That is a masterstroke right there: the perfect, offhanded passive-aggression of the accusation. Metatextuality FTW! Please oh please oh please let this be street theater.
I particularly like his reasoning: either she calls him back, or she is "playing games," or she has "other [necessarily incapacitating] issues." Those are the choices in Dmitri-land.
But after all, who would not want to go out with a fellow who outlines the many, many reasons he would not want to date her, who dresses her down for not calling, who calmly asserts she's either a gameplayer or helpless in the midst of a personal or psychosexual crisis? I mean, a guy like this is a catch, right? Oh, wait --- I don't need to wonder: he tells her himself. "Believe it or not, I'm a complete catch."
yeah a lot of it is off-key but parseable until the last part about "don't call me if you're on medication and maybe your mom has cancer" which is deranged.
The weirdness just rolls off his tongue too smoothly. And he hits all the points that the kids think are funny these days... real craziness isn't that slick.
Yeah, totally fake. This is the kind of stuff I'd come up with to say if I was writing a Swingers style jumping the shark script where guy calls girl and loses his shit. (That is, if I could write scripts, which I can't, but you know what I'm sayin')
grouse, I think that's a good idea. THere's a lot of information and speculation out there, but nowhere is it organized. I don't think it's fake, based on his history, but I think it may be amplified for self-aggrandizing purposes.
So I would encourage someone to build an FPP. However, because I don't wish to draw any interest from dmitri, it won't be me.
