There's no actual street in this photo, but this is the street I live on and I always think it looks sun-dappled and idyllic in a really cliched and Thomas Kinkade kind of way.
I'm probably recycling this shot from a previous photo Friday but I do like it. Sadly, the street has lost two or three of those trees since I took this and the city can't afford to replace them.
We're in a big ol' drought here, and those rare occasions when it rains, it often REALLY rains. This is a picture from last year when it rained; the water got so high that the catfish from behind the house were swimming down the street in the front of the house. (I thought I got a pic of the fishies...but you can't really see the monster. He was about 2 feet long...probably a 15 pound catfish swimming down the street...it's the sort of greyish blob on the lower middle-right.)
