Suburban apocalypse. A friend of mine who moved out to L.A. last year took this photo yesterday, while there was so much smoke in the sky from the Station fire... it's just incredible, IMO.

That's a great picture. Every several years the fires are big enough to turn the sky orange. Sometimes burned up leaves, twigs, and flowers fall from the sky. They still have their shape but they are all ash. They get in your hair and clothes and crumble when you touch them.
