Day ZERO! My mom arrives tomorrow evening and I am really really really really really excited.→[More:]

We're off on a two-week trip across Poland. She's dying to meet all my friends here and they're dying to meet her. And I've secretly bought some tickets to the Krakow Philharmonic's opening night performance in a few weeks as a special surprise!

It's the first time I'll have been visited by anyone from home since I began living abroad three years ago.

Cockles of heart: seriously warmified.

She's here! Bydgoszcz airport is crazy crazy tiny (yes, that's the whole building) and everyone goes around the side to stand by the fence to see when the plane lands, and then runs inside to the arrivals area to wait for everyone.

She slept well, praised my coffee, and now we're going to get some more coffee and cake and maybe lunch in town. Yay!
