Gday gday and how's it going?[More:]
I lurk, don't comment too often. But I wanted to say hello.

I've left the whole KaosPilot saga of last year (if you remember my posts of frustration) and have gone into...performance art! Specifically: burlesque, circus, and improv. It has mostly been OK, a little bit of drama, but it's fun. I'm currently working on a performance dealing with burlesque, cultural appropriation, and identity - we've just started creative development and I feel a bit in over my head (I'm the most n00bish out of everyone in this program) but I'm excited too.

How are you going?
Sounds spiffy. I'm in a terminal at JFK. Pips is buying snax. We were in the coffee shop but we had to leave because of the loudly dysfunctional family at the next table.

Ooh, that's an intriguing idea for a performance...

Also a mostly lurker here...are we supposed to introduce ourselves?

Being lazy now, half-watching "Eureka" and surfing on my new netbook while drinking coffee. About to go in search of fabric for my "Victorian burlesque" Halloween outfit.

Chillin' - just got a new pair of jeans after years of only having one! And bought some groceries. And its 26°C! Whoo!

Working up the energy to continue my attempt at rebuilding the first floor bathroom window. 19th century window engineering is pretty impressive but difficult to work with. Occasionally pondering why we didn't buy a new house in the suburbs.

G'day Divabat, long time no speak.

I have been hit with the busy stick again today, and I plan on cleaning up my yard and garden at some point today. That is, after I finish another 20 pages of translation. By the time that the sun sets, I want to be exhausted by my output.

Hi divabat!

I have a second date this afternoon. I am n-n-n-nervous.

Hi! So, short status updates?

I was going to ride my bike this morning after three days off due to wonky ankle, but now it's slightly raining. Drat.

I'm doing great ! I just finsihed up a big plate of pancakes and bacon and am getting ready to go out on a nice long hike and enjoy this beautiful sunny day

Took toddler for a long walk in the woods (his favorite activity - he ignores the playground and heads off for adventure). Went to Target. Fed husband and toddler and myself lunch. Let toddler go for a naked swim in his backyard inflatable pool. Did 3 loads of laundry. It's only 1pm here. I want a lazy Sunday but I don't see that happening for several years.

Janet - hope the 2nd date is fun!!!

I'd be getting more done if it wasn't so freaking hot here. Bleh.

The mister made sausage biscuits w/gravy - NOM NOM NOM. And I just mowed the front lawn for the first time with our new-ish reel mower. Probably not the best idea in the world, as I have a headache and am kinda nauseated, but I've been wanting to try it out.

I finally emptied out my garage, so I can put my car away now, thus avoiding the disapproving looks and tut-tut-tutting of the old lady neighbours, who always put their cars away and take umbrage at the people who use their garages to store stuff.

But now my living room is half-full of old tat that needs to be sorted out. I don't understand it - I sorted it all out before the builders started work and got rid of about half my belongings to charity. So how come I'm looking at the stuff that's left and thinking, well, I don't need that, or that, or that ...?

I had really tasty cinnamon rolls with cream cheese frosting for breakfast. I put the rest of them in the freezer for nomming at a future date. I also bought some curtain rods and put (half) of them up, so I no longer have sheets and blankets over my windows in most rooms.

It's Sunday night now. We went to Hever Castle yesterday, and to Rye and Camber Sands today. There will be many Flickr pics soon. The weekend also saw lots of wine, a fun birthday gathering, delicious delicious food (fried zucchini from the allotment, potato salad, homemade pizza, leftover pasta shells stuffed with roasted squash and sage and cheese and more), breakfast in bed with The Simpsons, and general marital bliss.

Oh yeah, and we won ten quid in the lottery, and then I found a ten pound note in the surf!
