It's an unusual place I come from, a place where things like this can happen.
That's funny. It's where I'm from too and that administrator has my father's surname. My father's family, with that surname, settled my town (Ocean). They were Quakers.

On my mom's side we're very recent immigrants so it's interesting to me how far back my dad's family goes in that area.

YOU'RE GONNA HAVE TO SERVE SOMEBODY!

(sorry, couldn't resist.)

Carry on.

Reminds me of when Bob did a commercial for Victoria's Secret and the under 40 part of the target audience reacted with "ick, what's with that creepy old man?"

What the hell is against the law about walking around and looking at houses?

Still, he doesn't look so hot these days. Not sure I'd recognize him, either.

We had an incident four or five years ago where a young security guard stopped Ted Turner from coming into CNN Center because he didn't have ID. This was well after Time Warner ran the show, and Ted had grown a big white beard; also the guard was like 23 and probably wouldn't have known Ted anyway.

There were no hard feelings, apparently, and that guard got into the company newsletter/email as "This guy is ON THE CASE."

I just read this story, and find it absolutely amazing that neither of the two officers recognized him. Not only would my 18 year old recognize him, he would probably fall at his feet in worship. Then again, Bob Dylan (and Dylan Thomas by synergy and extension) is his namesake.

I dunno that I'd know who he was if I saw him out of context (concert, etc).

Nice to know the cops treated him with respect.

Yeah, I doubt I'd recognize Dylan in person. If he had his shades on and was acting in character, maybe, but I really have no mental image of what Bob Dylan looks like.

My mental image of Bob is now Cate Blanchett (who nailed the early Bob in I'm Not There).

It's scary to think it's ten years or so since I saw him in Chicago.

There was a guy I always saw wandering around San Francisco who definitely had a Dylan vibe going. I used to amuse myself sometimes by imagining that the guy actually was Dylan, semi-incognito, and we were all walking past him totally oblivious.

My ex wife dated a guy who had a son who went by the name of Bob Zimmerman Jr. Bob the younger also used to wear dark shades and talk into his lapel like a secret service dude.

I always got the feeling that he was less delusional than hiding out from some deep seated pain.

I think I need to make some calls to find out if he is still alive and how he is.

heh, Dylan is from before even my generation.

"I don't think she was familiar with his entire body of work," Woolley said.

The sarcasm inherent in that line made me lol.

You have to wonder whether he was looking to score.

He probably didn't feel safe driving in New Jersey... :-)

He was probably looking for some inspiration.

Miko, the title of this post is being sung by Tom Jones in my mind.
