We've got 15,000 acres of wildfires here that left a nice layer of ash on my car this morning, and were probably responsible for the pretty sunset last night. I don't think there have been any injuries, though, but they keep advising residents not to let ash fall on them, which I'm unclear on how we're really supposed to do, given that it's falling from the sky and I occasionally need to walk under the sky.
I'm glad the quakes, tsunamis, and typhoons were minor for you, gomi.

Don't you just hate those bushfire sunsets? One second you're all "Oh that's a lovely array of colours", and the next you realise that those colours are largely bits of people's houses and feel all squicked out...
It's rather warm here, and a bit humid, but otherwise nothing natural of interest has happened on, below, or adjacent to the ground here since, oh, the Ice Age.
Here there are no catastrophes, unless you can count the crappy English "summer" weather and the fact that I've gained enough weight that I can't button my jeans...
