Thank you to all for the birthday wishes. I must admit I am sitting here in a little maudlin fog after checking my email and facebook and MetaChat. Birthdays are lovely as a time when you can let people know they're enjoyed and loved and appreciated, and since I'm turning 40 this year it feels especially commemorative, a real milestone. So thank you: MetaChat has enriched my life and made me a better person in many ways. You've all given me things to think about, new perspectives, and great laughs. Thanks for being who you are and for the great birthday wishes!

EJ, when I started giggling, my husband looked over and saw the behatted bunny, and he crooned "Someone made you a bunny!"
"Someone in a different time zone, where it's already my birthday!" Thank you --- that little bunny illuminated for him the sense of community that MetaChat embodies, and why I feel like it's part of my greater life.
