It's all pre-deadline yet, I am asking for submissions from cool guys first. So lets say September 27th for first grabs. Send me a story and some *some* examples of art.

I have no artist with whom to collaborate and this makes me sad.

Because this would be an excellent format for my half-written play about Einstein's first wife. It's set on a train. But the train is not traveling near the speed of light, because then it would be very, very heavy.

Yo, Whelk: Is the anthology tilted toward SEXY SEXY HISTORY SEXY or are less erotic works fit for inclusion? Cuz Mileva spends most of my story staring out a train window on the way to meet Albert at Lake Como. It's kinda melancholy, really. Though the visit did result in the birth of Einstein's first child, Liesrl.

Who got scarlet fever. Einstein left Mileva. Mileva's sister went crazy. Einstein abandons her and later tries to sue her over some property. Everyone she loves abandons her, dies, or goes insane. It's not a sexy story....

I'm open to a loose interpretation of Sex And History, I'd like a balance between facts and fancy, like a fictional story about the Gilded Cage that incorporates a lot of good factual detail would be a'ok ..or a brief biography of Nell Gywnn ..or an illustrated list of anti-masturbation devices ...or a re-telling of the orgin of the minotaur (He built a bronze cow so she could seduce the bull! crazy!) would all be up for consideration.

What I'm *really* looking for however, the thing tht makes my eyes sparkle, are when sex changes or influences history. Like Marie Antoinette becoming queen of France because all her sisters got pox or Crowley giving syphilis to everyone he met cause he thought it made people geniuses or something.

So that kind of thing.

No Profumo yet! There was a Profumo story in some comics crime anthology years ago but not very well written IMHO. Shoot the script over and I'll see if it sticks.

It's hard to fight the urge to do something very Hark, A Vagrant. Skimming varied bits of history doesn't help that at all.
