New take on an older song ...that actually works amazingly well. via Mookie
I've seen this a couple of times this week, but I have to say, I think Cobain would have gotten a charge out of it.

*cries* Not because I'm old, and can't really think of this stuff as "older," but because of the realization that there's so frickin' MUCH pop culture stuff to keep track of, and I'm lucky I get what's going on here. Gad, I miss the 70s.

Agreed, JanetLand. I'm usually hopelessly far behind the curve as well. However, I felt that the only way to Rickroll anyone with this was to package it like that.

JanetLand, I've felt like that for about fifteen years now. I kept up with music up through grunge and then just haven't bothered since then. In the eighties, I was one of the only one of my friends who listened to anything new and they were always giving me a hard time for it. I remember in maybe '86, REM and 10,000 Maniacs were playing at Rec Hall (at Penn State) and I couldn't find anyone else who had heard of them or wanted to go with me. (I didn't end up going. sigh.)

Back then, I couldn't understand why you wouldn't want to know what all the new cool music was and now I can't seem to recreate that drive.
