OH GOD I AM IN LOVE AND IT HURTS SO GOOD I already love DJ Earworm's mashups so much I want to marry him, but with this video I think I want to have one billion of his babies, too.[More:]

Of course, the same sentiments apply double when it comes to Annie Lennox
Why don't you let us know how you really feel?

WolfDaddy, meet Boring Postcards.

BoringPostcards - this is WolfDaddy.

I'll leave you two kids alone for awhile. You know, to get acquainted.

*Hangs back, leaning against the wall, wondering where the line to have DJ Earworm's babies is located. And even though I am not biologically equipped to have his babies, I will let him try anyway. I'll even wear that French maid/Micky Mouse number if he wants.*

Well, as a confirmed Annie fan ever since "Here Comes the Rain Again" (and retroactively to The Tourists) ... I was underwhelmed. It seemed to undercut the emotional resonance that her voice served so well.

Nothing against the mash-up per se, but that was my reaction.

For me, dhartung, the mashup itself is nothing special, but it served to remind me just how long and how consistently Lennox has, thrillingly, entertained me through visual beauty as well as vocal.

I saw the Eurythmics in an airport once, during or not long after the Revenge tour, walking from gate to gate. Annie Lennox was surrounded by a cadre of sycophants, striding fifteen feet in front of then-husband and songwriter Dave Stewart, who trudged along with a guitar and a carry-on.

"Mr. Stewart!" I shouted. He looked up, and I said, "I'm a very big fan!" and he smiled and nodded to me.

Ms. Lennox looked at me, too; she gave me the iciest stare I've ever received. How dare anyone recognize the guy who wrote the songs she sang so beautifully?

On further research, I see they were never actually married, and they had ceased being lovers well before this.
