This reminds me of the time I managed to wedge my head between two of the bars in the guardrail while waiting in line at the Dumbo ride at Disneyland, requiring the Disneyland paramedics to come in with some huge plier-type things and release me.

I still went on the ride. I was 8.

There's a much easier way to free a child from the bars than using pliers. Usually it's the kid's ears which are the problem. So the trick is this: pick up the child by the legs and torso, turn him over so he's facing upwards, then his ears are the 'right' way to fit back through the bars.

Simple.

A coworker of mine has a pair of shoes one of her pet rabbits has sculpted. I think that bunny is being kept away from the Birkenstocks.
