Bing v Google Can't choose default search engine? You'll see results from both engines side by side. lol
Bing is a lot slower for me. :(
I was just reading David Pogue's Bing versus Google article a few hours ago.
Bing is just as fast as Google for me, but I think I'm too accustom to the Google look and extras to judge fairly.
But Google easily won in the two instances where the results differed (out of about a dozen test searches I did):
1. I searched for "iphone slim case" (no quotes)...Bing's first hit led to a broken Belkin link. Ouch.
2. There's a furniture repair place nearby that I was looking for recently, but I couldn't spell the name. I typed my best guess into Bing and Google. Google guessed right with their "Did you mean...?" link and when I clicked that it gave me the standard mini Google Map along with address/phone/website link. Bing justed asked if I wanted to do a more generic search for "furniture stores." Google wins that one easily.
Same experience as mullacc with a misspelled store name. I only entered the store name itself, no indication of its wares. Google guessed with its "Did you mean...", Bing just gave me a bunch of random sites. Google wins.
