Photo Friday: Out my window→[More:]Sorry it's late! I'm off today and kinda forgot it was Friday.
A little more high concept: someone had obviously thrown this spaghetti sauce out of a high rise window. I like to dream up all sorts of back stories; a passionate fight? An accidental knock off the sill while tending to bubbling pots of pasta in preparation for a sultry dinner date?
More standard: I live next door to the Columbus College of Art and Design, this is the much mocked "Art/Rat/Tar" sign we all want to erect a giant "F" next to.
Out my bedroom window (to the left of where I'm typing right now, heh.) This is the parking lot and 1st building of my condo association. Complete with broken seal windows and crumbling retaining wall!
This is looking out my living room window onto my patio in the back of my condo. This view is kinda why I bought this place in particular because it's awesome and there's a little stream through the woods and hoppy little bunnies at times. Chair and my mini victory garden are making an appearance as well. (That basil has been repotted and is flourishing. My rosemary plan looks kinda sickly, but I fed it some plant food today and so hopefully it will perk up a bit.)
This guy used to love to tease one of my cats, Ichabod when we still lived in Madison. It was clear that the squirrel knew he was safe, and Ichabod would go a bit wild chittering at him and trying to figure out how to get out the window:
The traffic circle outside my block of flats helps me judge Mass times on Sundays atht the church whose steeple is on the right because it is choked with cars and people ten minutes beforehand. The supermarket across the way is the best in town and not crazy expensive, which is nice.
Oh, PS: this is from like February, so things now are much less gray/evil/foreboding. Come visit!
A family of sparrows nests in the telephone pole just outside our front window/veranda, and here's one of them, relaxing on the wire as a crow flies by behind:
One of my favorite pictures from college of the boys practicing their mudsurfing skills in one of the quads, and a sight to make the groundskeepers weep. Picture was taken from my dorm window in late March, which in that corner of the state (where it snowed the last week of classes my first year) was still winter and felt like it. I miss that school.
