Yes, but how much does a gigabyte weigh? Those brainiac nerds never answered his question.

A gigabyte weighs about as much as 8 million bits, so think about that next time you order dessert.

To burn off the information contained in one gigabyte, you'd have to ride a unicycle from New Haven, Connecticut to Venus.

Kevin Garnett has only been playing in the NBA for fourteen years, and he's made something like twelve thousand baskets, but let's forget about Kevin Garnett's career for a moment to consider a much greater number: all the baskets ever made in the history of the NBA, or all the field goals and free throws made in the history of basketball, or even all the games played for recreation, by all ages, on driveways, in parks, at gyms worldwide; there's an astronomical number of goals scored in the history of one sport, like basketball, and you can look at historical predecessors like lacrosse, or games with similar objectives like water polo, other games involved with hoops and leaping, it just keeps going, really, it's more a conceptual thing than an exact number, that's like a gigabyte, but more in the World of Sports than the World of Computers, if you catch my drift.
