The Pogo album Wonderland is so obvious and well known I'm guessing that it's being included under the heading of trancey remixes? I'd say trip hop myself but I'm terribly defensive of the beep beep and beats and therefore am going to force upon you music you've probably already considered and discarded.

I'm going to an Alice themed birthday party in two weeks. I'll have to check out the recommendations you got here.

There's so much work to do, and its not even my party. I'm thinking of baking cookies with EAT ME written in icing, and I have to draw the flyer this week (the birthday girl is being shy about letting me take reference photos no one is going to ever see but me, ahhh!) We're also scooping up thrift store tea cups for booze sipping.

Is it a faux-pas to show up at an Alice in Wonderland themed party dressed as Alice? I'm assuming Miss Birthday Girl is going to, so is it kind of like wearing white at a wedding? I already have an outfit and everything. I think I have shirt with the Ace of Hearts printed on it so I can probably figure something out if it means not being an insensitive hostess-showing-up bitch.

Instead of cupcakes with eat me, bring a big booze bottle (hopefully home-made infused vodak in some 19th century bottle) with a big "Eat Me" tag tied around it. cheap cheap tea sets can be sound at thrift stores and markets. They just have to look fancy, they don't have to BE fancy.

That or bring some white flower's you've hit with a red paintbrush. Bring a deck of playing cards. You could be an Anti-Alice, same dress but with fishnets and the like.

Meringue mushrooms are pretty easy to make, too, provided it's not rainy where you are. (Rain makes meringue weep.) You can even dust them with cocoa to color them, or apply frosting dots, or carve "Eat me" into the surface before baking.
