Need whuffles, please. What is happening to my brain?[More:]Been off the zoloft for 10 days, and actually felt pretty good last weekend, but now am getting nausea and panic attacks. And depression. (Which is why I wanted to try the zoloft in the first place.) I think the nausea came before the panic attack. Dr. said to go on celexia, and this is my 2nd day on it, so nothing's changed yet. Am praying hard that this will help. I want my former self back!!
*whuffles* Good on you for being active and trying to kick your brain into shape. Sucks that it's a rocky path, but it's the right one, and you're on it.

Just take it easy and slow. It's very intense medicine you're switching to and from affecting the brain in very mythical manners. Remember that the flashing emotions you're feeling are not real indicators of what's going around you, take everything super slow and sure... and perhaps take time off from general workloads to do more satifying or placid things like taking a break for a special food treat or even just watching television. Stuff like this when brain juice is adjusting can be very trying.

You're going through Zoloft withdrawal, dear. It's very tempting to think "OH GOD THIS IS MY NORMAL STATE WHEN I'M NOT ON ZOLOFT!1!!1!" which is not true.

I think I spent the two weeks after I got off Zoloft idly wondering if I would hang myself with a vacuum cleaner cord, which is not something I would normally ever contemplate. And I got better, and lost the Zoloft-weight as well, which was nice.

As shitty as it is right now, it shall pass. It will get better. I promise.

ps: hella whuffles

Take a deep breath, Melismata, you're a champ. Soon this too will pass. Hang in there. Hugs & big ups!

Thanks, all. JB, I was only on the Zoloft for a week, the worst week of my life. And yet I still feel that way some of the time. Would it really take that long for so little zoloft to leave my system?

I don't get it at all. Last night, fine. This morning, panic attacks. I probably have some IBS which isn't helping either. *shivers in warm office*

Poor bunny! *whuffles Melismata lots*

This, too, shall pass. It's a bit of a rollercoaster right now, but hang in there. Your brain chemistry WILL settle down, it's just going to bounce about for a little bit. Be gentle with yourself, stay warm.

Repeated for truth! Hope it passes sooon for you...but it will indeed pass. Definitely get your exercise and sunshine in, even if that's just a nice long meandering walk. It really helps, even if you can't tell directly.

And yes, it passes. My mantra: It always passes. And it does.

Whuffles! Hang in there, talk to your docs, walk in the sun, and take good care. And call for whuffles! They're real.

Celexa made me kinda nauseous. I felt like I was newly pregnant when I was taking it. Possibly that will pass-I only tried it for a couple of weeks...

Take care of yourself. Watch your favourite movies, eat favourite foods, read a crappy novel; pamper and take yourself.

I lived the Prozac life for about a year. Did not have major side-effects, though, so I can't relate. I do know that it takes time, usually up to two weeks, before your body can adjust to a new drug.

I know that the "better" came gradually for me -- about two months in I suddenly realized I was on some plateau and wasn't suffering the way I had been.
