dude, dude, shaaaahhhh... keep it down. "America's Team" is what they say about teams like [shudder] the Dallas Cowboys, the Yankees, Green Day and Bon Jovi... While I am happy that the Red Sox are in first, it's not very, err, New England to go cock-a-doodle-doo about it, son.

...and it does matter if half the leagues is juiced... If everyone is taking the same competitive drugs, then fuck it, doesn't it come back down again to who has the better team, better manager, or the better doctors?

...that's why I love watching corporate softball. Half the team is juiced, and someone's likely to get injured.

...Actually I hate corporate softball.

Though I know little about baseball (and typically care even less), my partner has been keeping me updated on David Ortiz's stats, because it made me so darned sad to think of him doing poorly. The last week or so, as he has climbed up, up, up, I get reports and clap my hands like I'm clapping for Tinkerbell. Don't die, Tink!

Man, I don't know a thing about the game, but there's something magical about watching while someone who's both talented and diligent goes about his business... all the more so if he does it with a big magnetic smile on his face. I love that guy.
