Oh hey, it's my book release party! July 8th in NYC I will be celebrating the release of my first graphic novel with big-ass party complete with cupcakes, performances, and The Two Man Gentleman Band. Wont you stop by and say hello?

that nyc burlesque thing looks awesome. I've heard of dr. sketchy and that group, is that a regular thing? i'd love to take my husband for a night.

Yes it is regular, every other saturday. Not to turn this into a total Shill Myself thread, but next week we're doing a Super Mario Brothers theme with Justine Joli as the model.

Sorry, I work in publishing and work with a major house, I thought for a while Dr. Sketchy was self-distributed and that was their only title. Seems a nice little list is developing and I've never heard of Fugu before. When you say it will be in stores, I know that means Amazon for you folks but what about major retail chains, etc.

Will lookout for you at Comiccon, I am likely skipping it this year (hate flying and seems an expense we can skip with everything being so tight).

So how do I find out about these regular events and where to go? Is there a webpage with info? Looks like so much fun!!!

Very cool and congratulations, The Whelk! I'd love to show up, but being a brazillion miles away makes it difficult.

I've read only a couple graphic novels, and those recently, and I find that I really enjoy them. I'll have to keep my eye out for a copy of yours.

Eatdounuts: www.drsketchy.com is the main page for the NYC branch. You can see me wearing an American flag and chugging a bottle of Wild Turkey on the blog there.

Ardiril: The LES actually has a fair number of small, expensive hotels but the public transport in New York is so good and In Manhattan even more so that I don't think location should be an issue.

Jonmc: I was just thinking I needed to stop into Famous Bookstore soon! I would gladly buy you a beer for the chance to get into a jukebox battle.

I WROTE IT. Plus me and molly have a much more "Oh let's talk about pacing, I'll thumbnail out some pages" working style than most It's really a collaboration.
