My cat has an ingrown claw. Found out too late: Once your older cat's nails start to click on the floor when walking, check their claws! [More:]

It's grown right into the pad. It doesn't seem to hurt her except when I try to pull it out.

hardly seems worth a trip to the vet, but I suppose that's the safest thing to do.

Stupid cat. Stupid claw. Stupid boyfriend. Stupid car. Stupid economy. Stupid ex-boyfriend. Stupid everything.

Except Obama likes Pittsburgh.
OUCH!

Maybe a little peroxide to clean and loosen the tissue a bit and then it might slide out easier?

I had to take my kitty to the vet once to get one removed. She was a cranky little fuck when it was going on, but was much happier once it was fixed. (She had some sort of defect in her back foot that made her seriously prone to them unless we kept her claws clipped super short.)

Yes, take her to the vet. It could get infected/abscessed/mutantated. And Dog knows, we don't want mutant kitties.
