Free classical music stream. Actually, there are two streams available; that one is from a network, while this one is the on-air feed from Atlanta's local classical station,[More:] which plays music from 9AM to 3PM, and from 8PM to 5:30AM (all times Eastern). The rest of the time it plays NPR news and such.
Ooh. Thanks! May I put in a recommend for my beloved wqed for those off-hours or whenever Atlanta starts playing Philip Glass? They do their news in the morning. (Though I'd wait a couple of days, because at the moment they're deep in pledge drive purgatory. Unless one of you has a spare $250k...)

Here's the 24-hour classical stream from Maine Public Broadcasting.

Which I *assume* works even if you're not in Maine . . . .

It does, JanetLand! Thanks to you and notquitemaryann for both of those. It's good to have more than one source... (for me it's not Philip Glass that makes me turn it off, it's opera.)

OH BLASPHEMY

WQED mostly keeps opera to Friday nights (whenever it's featured on Performance in Pittsburgh) or Saturdays (Met Broadcast). The Pittsburgh Symphony broadcasts are probably my favorite.

Heh! WABE (here in Atlanta) does the Saturday Met broadcasts, too.

Ahh, that sucks. I would love them myself except for the fact that Margaret Juntwait's voice makes me want to stab.
