Today, as I stood on the sidewalk during my afternoon break, at the Famous Bookstore, there was a ten-deep line of people waiting on the sidewalk to sell us their used books. The lady at the front of the line was reading her Kindle. That's symbolic. or something.
What can I get for a lightly-used e-book?

My best friend is about to give me his Sony E-Reader and I am so excited! It's no Kindle, but I just learned that I can go to the library website and check out ebooks, download them to the reader, and then have as many as I want!

I'm doing the Infinite Summer thing, and this should make it a lot more pleasant to lug around.
Of course, just this morning I bought a book, so I don't think that I'll be a total e-convert anytime soon. Or ever. Because I like touching pages and seeing pictures.

I dunno. Most used books don't cost $400. And I feel better about giving them to someone. And browsing an online bookshop is not the same as a real, solid used book store. Folks will have their Kindles. People will have their iPods. But vinyl still sells, decades after it was supposed to die.
