We won the IPL!!! →[More:]After coming in last place, last year, this year--Adam Gilchrist and the guys were in full swing, and what a match--you should've seen it.

I couldn't sleep the whole night, I'm so excited for the team, and my State, which won the trophy.

Yeah Deccan, go go go!!!

I work in Silicon Valley, just across the street from some Google buildings. Lots of Indian folk where I work . . . we've got these big monitors in the lunch room area, and they've been showing Cricket in the mornings for the past few weeks. I've overheard numerous conversations about the matches . . . though I can't say I've followed any of it, I got the sense something major was about to happen. Congratulations!

Congratulations. I can't pretend to understand Cricket but I live in a big sports town and can understand how much fun it is to win the big tournament. And my graduate school alma mater does have a cricket club.

Big congrats! My SO is a big Cricket fan and he listens to/watches whatever excerpts are on the internet, as his "cricket-radio cap" doesn't work in the USA (it is designed for BBC long-wave broadcasts).
I know way more about Cricket than I ever wanted to -- never mind all the Cricket-related expressions that have insinuated themselves into the English language (sticky wicket, I'm stumped, out for a duck, putting a spin on the argument, googly-eyed, bowled out).
