It's raining again. [More:]The sun was trying to peek out yesterday. Now it's raining again. Today is day five of nearly continuous rain. Many homes have been flooded. Hundreds of cars are parked on the main roads because they are unable to park in their flooded apartment complexes.

This is a picture of my backyard yesterday:

A cell phone pic of my street.

It's much better today because of the tide cycle and the city manages all of the canal and pond water to the Intercoastal Waterway. I imagine it will flood again today, and they'll "pull the plug" again.

Here is a picture of the speedway
. I suppose it's a good place to hold water. They could race boats.
Whoah!!! I hope you have your rubbers handy! you'll need them, with all the staying-in you guys will have to do with the rain and all. :)

but, seriously... dang; the Goldy pics... wow.

I wish about the rubbers. We have been dreadfully boring and middle-aged this week. Last night I went to bed at seven o'clock. ;-)

I'm probably not the best dog owner. God only knows what kind of pesticides and chemicals are swirling around in that water. Kids were skimboarding in it so what the hey. She was so happy to be swimming and exploring. She kept sniffing the top of the water which was hilarious. You had to be there.

Well, now I understand why NASA canceled the shuttle's first landing attempt for today.

The flooding reminds me of Houston. At least the ducks are happy.
