Hey! Ashevillians! You're getting a new neighbor! The BF and I have decided to move to Asheville! →[More:]
He is homesick for NC and wants to be closer to his mom (and Bojangles... not sure which is more important to him), and I am sick of Seattle and ready for a change.

Any tips, tricks, advice, feedback? I'm lookin' at you, mygothlaundry ;) We're green, gothy, geeky, and interested in buying a couple acres and either remodeling or building as off grid as possible.

NOTE: Jobs aren't a problem. He works from home for the same NC company he's worked for for years, and I am more than likely going back to school. Either way, his income can sustain us if need be.

The furniture shop I used to work for has an office in Asheville. I think they might have done some stuff in the 43-bathroom house.

Anyway, congratulations on the moving plans! How exciting!

Awesome. I traveled around the US a bit and stayed and Bon Paul And Sharky's hostel in the US for a few days. The hostel and Asheville in general are cool places
