It almost goes without saying that Play-Doh is delicious. Likewise the ends of young pine needles, glue sticks, Bonne Bell lip gloss (edible, but you weren't supposed to bite it, I don't think), and various kinds of paper including the pages of magazines and books. Usually just the corners, so no one would notice and be mad.

Occasionally chewed on a mouthful of rubber bands because it was sproingy.

I also liked to suck on coins and different kinds of pebbles. When I was three, I accidentally swallowed a beautiful red glass Pente piece, and for the next several weeks, I waited with the certainty that I would die. It was more than twenty years before I mentioned it to my parents. I think it's still in there.

Oh, yeah. Play-Doh. Totally delicious.

I once drank a bottle of cuticle remover. Thereafter, I would eat only farina, apples and peanut butter sandwiches, for about five years.

Around second or third grade a bunch of us would eat the paper napkin in their lunch pack after they ate lunch. It was a weird macho thing.

...to this day I eat the paper fortune from the fortune cookie after I read it. Otherwise it won't come true.
