My mother would have shot me dead if I spent $75 on a vase full of flowers. $75 worth of cookbooks, however...

I saw a supersize card (10" by 10" or so) at Walgreen's today that had a woman in a smock covered by balloons -- you know, like a stripper -- and the inside caption roughly "we love you because you're a FUN MOM".

My brother is a moderately tattoed boy man, so I was actually disappointed that this was a flower arrangement. I thought it would be a picture of a beefed-up back with the arrangement tattoed on.

Even if you didn't have the vase, bunnyfire, you could probably mock something up and put it in the window, if only to drive up the walk-in 'wtf?' crowd. ;-)

I think it's kinda cute, actually. I have some friends who would be very happy if their "kids" got it for them. (most having kids of the age where dad buys the mothers day gifts).

My best friend is getting a tattoo in honor of her mom for mother's day, actually.

Oh, and a mexican restaurant we love has a vending machine with lower back tattoos in it. I'm always tempted to drop $5 and get temp tramp stamps for all I know.
