This is a picture of one-day-old lettuce. I love, in particular, how you can see the seed pods still sticking to they tiny chutes.

Thanks Jan. I've had a long obsession with rust and have taken many a picture of it. This being the internet, it turns out that there are scads of Flickr groups etc with rust, urban decay and so on. Its always an interesting experience to find out that something that you figure is of pretty limited interest actually appeals to a lot of people. Makes sense of course when you than that with 6+ billion people every taste is going to have plenty of fellow travelers. A lesson the internet teaches over and over again.
