Thanks, all! I was telling my wife about it, and asked her if she'd known me to ever do anything this impulsive. "Not for yourself," she answered. So I guess I kind of deserve it. It wasn't crazy expensive, and I got a discount because of the dent you can sort of see in the bottom right of the picture. I do already have a wood uke, and a couple of guitars, but, yeah, 2 1/2 hours since first learning of the instrument's existence to purchase is kinda wild.

It sounds great, too, rich, mellow tone, good and loud, with an appropriate resonator tinniness. I'm thinking about re-stringing it with steel strings and getting a slide. Dunno. Mostly just basking in post-purchase glow right now.
