Wikipedia says it's only 5mm long overall; that's tiny (5 millimeter = 0.1968503937 inch). So, I wonder who or what it's trying to pacify with a smiley face.

You have NO IDEA how ironically funny to find this post today!!! My best friend just got back from 10 days in Hawaii, and she was just telling me about this spider. Her niece had gotten a picture of one of them. This is amazing, as I was going to look them up! Thanks for being clairvoyant!
