"Touring the Michael Jackson auction collection is exactly like touring the inside of MJ's baroque, gold-plated crazybrain. Turns out, the inside of MJ's baroque, gold-plated crazybrain is the most fun and wondrous place you've ever been."
Amazing BP. Crazy shit for sure. I'm glad that stuff isn't in my crazybrain. I have enough crazy in my brain for my own liking.

This quote from the comments nails it:

Thank you for this, BoPo. Just...thank you.

I just flipped through the Session II catalogue. MJ has some really nice antiques in there. But what struck me was he was really looking for happiness, his version of a normal family life (see the sculptures and artwork). I'm torn between feeling sorry for him and what he, allegedly, did to children.

Exactly, deborah.

But those wax figurines of the red-headed children absolutely freak me the fuck out.

It's strange how he'd seriously have a painting made of himself with crown, scepter and hermin cape. And have the crown, scepter and hermin cape in real life as well. Instead of the honours bestowed by the public he'd choose his own regalia. How can somebody do this unironically?

Yeah, the statues of innocent young children are creepy.

Isn't the sculpture of the children holding hands really, really similar to a memorial sculpture? I've been trying for ages to remember what it was a memorial TO, but I recall seeing a sculpture of kids in that "ring around the rosie" pose memorializing something.
