Sakuracon! Here's another of my semi-annual sets of cosplay photographs from an anime convention. This is the 2009 Sakuracon, in Seattle, in 35mm and digital, featuring bonus footage of my fianceé, sakura. (I'm really getting too old for this!)

Incidentally, it's called Sakuracon, because it's a con(vention) and it takes place around the time when the sakura are in bloom.

That set is like watching Alice in Wonderland, Cats, and Cowboy Bebop at the Playboy Mansion back-to-back while suddenly realizing Hef has spiked your beverage.

I'm going to take my retinas to the spa for a massage after viewing that from beginning to end.

Pie - who are those characters? Are they all the same person? And what's with all the backside cosplay pron shots? Is that a standard superhero pose in whatever series?

I'm still mad that Sakuracon moved to Easter weekend. That's Norwescon weekend. I used to enjoy going to both.
