I knew I shouldn't have clicked that link. :-/

I have no ethical qualms against eating frogs, but apparently I do have aesthetic qualms. Maybe just frog-leg congee for me!

Occhiblu is too kind and articulate to use the word 'blucky,' but that's exactly what she was thinking.

BLUCKY!!

Raw meat doesn't usually look too wonderful. Tasted yum though (^_^).

I don't know how I feel about this.
I might have added a boquet garni to the stock before adding the rice. maybe. But then I have never cooked frog before.

I like frog legs, but I'm not sure about the torso thing. I'm sure the end result was yummy in omnivore terms. Especially if gomi made it. :)

Raw red meat often does look good to me, but you're right, not so much with other meat.

Though I think part of it is also that I don't generally think of frogs in a culinary context.

The finished congee, however, does look lovely.
