Gimme a big bagga chips and a TEC-9, hon... I used to go here as a kid. They served up the best, freshest potato chips I ever set lips on.
That was in season 4, right?

I love Lexington Market. I mean, Faidley's would be enough to recommend it, but did you ever try Church's fried chicken, souvlaki at Mount Olympus, or the holy grail of donuts, glazed twists from Berger's? Plus you can get lake trout at, like, three stands. One of the butchers offered me the head of a pig when I was ten. It was right after new year's so I guess he figured it wouldn't sell.

The Utz stand sells guns?!?! Who knew? I used to do all my grocery shopping at Lexington Market when I lived in Bolton Hill and didn't have a car. My ex husband has a story about that stand - he was in line one time and this old man said to him, "Love them chips, huh?" and he was like, yeah, and the man said, "Just can't get enough, huh?" and he said, yeah, and then the man said, "Me too, until the triple bypass." Then he cackled and walked away.

But it's weird, people always said they fried the chips right there but I don't believe it. I took the kids to the Utz factory one time; it's out in Pennsylvania about half an hour/40 minutes from Maryland Line. We followed an Utz truck to find it. They give you a tour and it's extremely cool and then at the end you get to go to the Utz store and buy all kind of nifty Utz souvenirs. I saw them making the chips there; I no longer believe that they make them in Lexington Market. Hmmmm.

Yeah, I think they always trucked them in, and that guy just bought giant sacks of chips and bagged them himself at the stall. Those fresh Utz chips were amazing, though. I've never had better.
