FTD Fun. So it's been a few years since I have sent flowers to my mom for her b-day[More:], having always sent SOMETHING. . .

But I have been sick and so I sent some with FTD.com. They have my info on file, at least my mom's house, etc.

Usually, with things like that, they contract with a local florist for delivery, so my first surprise was getting this ship notice and a FedEx tracking number. They are actually sending this Federal Express!

So then my mom is away yesterday, and I check the tracking and it's noted that since I did not have a signature requirement, they leave them at the door.

When my mom comes home, no flowers.

I have sent a complain to FTD, and gotten the form email back saying that they will look into this within 24 hours, etc. etc.

What else can I do about this?

Sounds like they are/were sending boxed flowers.

I'm not sure what else you can do. But next time, what I would do is look up your mom's area on the Internet, pick a florist and call them (many have toll free lines) and order directly from them with a debit/credit card. You will save the 6.95 routing fee, you will confirm they have exactly the right vase/flowers you want, you will know if for instance they are out of stock on those yellow roses you had your heart set on-and you can always ask them for something different or unique in your arrangement.

At my store, most of the time we actually CALL the out of town florists before we send the order over the wire. It makes a diff.
